31 Day Challenge Day 22

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
To add to what I did yesterday, my favorite song has been Look At Me Now by Chris Brown. Something about it, I have changed so much, I used to listen to rock only, now I listen to rap, pop, and anything in between, I still don't listen to country.

I didn't see anyone do this song so I decided that it would be okay if I did. It isn't the best design and for some reason I forgot to take a picture before I put a top coat on.

I used OPI Don't Mess With OPI, OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down The Window, and Finger Paints Scenery Greenery. Of course my black and white acrylic paints.

31 Day Challenge Day 21

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Ten days to go!! I can't wait for it to be over, is that bad? I think I am going to take a nail art (challenge) break until Christmas, I probably will do two weeks then. Of course I will finish this one but my posts after this challenge will be more sparatic then they have been lately. Then after that it will be New Years for a day or two and then Valentines Day and my birthday which is 3 days later. Am I missing anything?

Today I just did something easy. It is supposed to be inspired by color. I didn't get this one very well, so I just went with green. Green and yellow have taken the stage in my life for some reason. I kind of sponged three different green polishes.

I used OPI Don't Mess With OPI, Finger Paints Scenery Greenery, and OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down The Windows.

Enjoy yourself

31 Day Challenge Day 20

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Phew today in particular I had problems with nail art... Anyone ever have fail days? I seriously redid like 12 nails, haha no seriously. I hated how some of them came out. Water Marbling is such a pain to do sometimes, even when you know how to do it right and everything. The colors can get muddled together, you can totally miss the design, and sometimes you just get something that turns out looking like crap. I think everyone has those types of days, well today was mine.

I used Finger Paints Lavender Highlight, China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le, and Color Club Who Are You Wearing? I topped it with China Glazes Fairy Dust, does anyone else have a problem with CHG FD getting too thick? I know I have to use like 10 drops of thinner to get the polish back to its original smoothness.

I hope you enjoyed, I know I liked the final look of it. Very fall-esk.

Enjoy yourself

31 Day Challenge Day 10

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Today is Gradient Day lol, I am pretty sure you saw my Halloween post, if not go check it out. I did a lime green gradient so this day was no challenge for me having past experience.

I did something really simple, 3 polishes was all this baby took.

I started out with China Glaze's GO GO Pink which I hauled like a week and a half ago. It is just a creamy pale pink, almost bubble gum pink. I basically got this for free with a set I purchased.

Then I added some of Finger Paints Pretty As A Portrait which is a lilac purple color. I love this purple.

Finally I sponged on some OPI Honk If You Love OPI which is a darker version of PAAP.

In all I think I like this. I hope you do too.

Enjoy yourself

31 Day Challenge Day 6

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Only a few days left until I am into the patterns, I can't wait. I think this is a really fun challenge thus far. I might try version two here very soon.

Today I am wearing a single color but I did a little design to add some spice. I am wearing Finger Paints Lavender Highlight. I added little lines of black acrylic paint. Nothing too intense just something I added. See I told you I am totally ready to be in the design part of this challenge.

I hope you like, I know I did.

Enjoy yourself

31 Day Challenge Day 4

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

Welcome to day 4 which is green day. I really like this green for today I am not sure what it is about it but it is love. I have told you before that I am not too keen on darker nail polishes on my nails, it could be that my nails are very small in size compared to others nails. Or it could just my skin tone, I am not sure what it is but darker colors aren't my friend.

Today I am boring, one color. I am wearing Finger Paints Scenery Greenery. I like this color so much. I think the reason I like it so much is because it's almost a jelly finish. I love the squishiness to jelly nail polish, their shine as well. This is without a top coat.

Please don't mind the camera picture I am trying to mess with my camera to get better quality. I hope it is a little better, this picture was taken inside under a lamp.

Enjoy yourself

A Halloween Pink Wednesday.

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Long time no talk... LOL only 2 days. I told you I was going to take a little break after my 30 Untrieds. I think my break is done.

Now coming up with a Halloween design for pink is hard, really hard. I only have three or so ideas but I guess that is okay since there is only 3 more after today.

Today's theme is a girly witch.
I used Finger Paints Rose Patina as my base pink, black and white acrylic paint, and LA Colors Art Deco in Baby Pink.

On my thumb I did a corset type of pattern, my boyfriend said it looks more like a shoe, lol.
On my index finger I have the start of the broom.
On my middle finger I have some of the broom and the little witch, I thought I did her backwards.
On my ring finger I have the rest of the broom.
On my pinkie I have a little witch hat.

Woohooo clever right?
Stay tuned for my other Pink Wednesday's in October.

Enjoy yourself

You're Plastic...Cold, shiny, hard plastic!!!

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
I can't believe I have done this for my third time this week, SQUEEE that makes me super happy. Now lets see if I can do 30 Untireds in September. I absolutely love Pink Wednesday's!!!

Today I am wearing a pink base color with little blue and white acrylic flowers painted on my nails, along with some dots. This style of manicure is and will continue to be a favorite on my fingers.

What I Did
I painted my nails with a medium sort of muted pink color with a dotting tool (tooth pick in my case) I added 5 little dots to represent flowers, I repeated this a couple of times on each nail. In the middle of each flower I mixed blue and white and got a baby blue color and went back in and dotted these a little closer to the centers. Next I applied one single dot of white in the middles of all of the flowers. On the middle of the nail there was just too much pink showing through so I put some dots getting smaller and bigger.

What I Used
One coat of Beauty Secrets Base Coat
Two coats of Finger Paints Rose Patina
Blue and white Acrylic
One coat of INM Out the Door

Nail Of the Day Sparked

So this week is my week at my sister's house ( I watch her youngest) so I won't be on here as much but I can tell you that I have written things in advance and they will post themselves, I will be checking too. Wednesday I will be doing a Pink Wednesday post but I won't have access to my own polish so it will be "borrowed" aka my sisters. I will try to post NOTD's this week as well but like I said I can't guarantee anything. I am also looking for a job, I need money for this nail addiction.
What I did
For today I have my own polish on (lol). I put regular tips on all of my fingers except my ring finger. Then on the fingers with the tips I applied a thin black line. On my ring finger I put a "graident" of purple and blue sparkles on top of the purple.

What I used.
-One coat of Beauty Secrets Base Coat
-2 Coats of Finger Paints Lavender Highlight (review to come)
-LA Colors Art Deco in Black.
-Sinful Colors in Frenzy
-2 Coats of INM Northern Lights (Not Shaken up)

Well that is it for today. Thanks for reading.

Enjoy yourself

Nail of the Day Dainty Dots.

Today was just one of those days that I just really didn't want to do anything with my nails. I am not sure why this happened. I guess I am just in a slump.
I really wanted to get out of this slump so I painted my nails with Finger Paints Art Nouv-Yellow. Yes YELLOW. Why? Well it just so happens that yellow is one of my favorite colors and it simply makes me happy.

I just recently reviewed this polish which I will post below because I have yet to find out how to hyperlink? I believe that is the word I am look for. Shrugs...

What I did.
With a tooth pick I took an opposing color in this case purple and I dotted little dots on the bottom corner away from the thumb and on the thumb facing the opposing way.

What I used
Beauty Secrets Base Coat
4 Yes 4... Coats of Finger Paints Art Nouv-Yellow. Could have used one more coat.
Ulta Professions Nail Polish in Downtown Diva (Me lol just kidding)
INM Northern Lights (not shaken up)

Like my new watermark? Thanks for reading <3

Finger Paints Art Nouv-Yellow

Something about summer and yellow nail polishes. This is my second yellow added to my collection and I am sure there will be a lot more once the fall season starts (sales and such).

I got Art Nouv-Yellow when Sally's was having their buy three Finger Paints, get one free. I knew I had to have it. I saw it on the display and it was the first one I picked up. Absolute joy.
Art Nouv-Yellow is a very vibrant but muted yellow, it also has a very light silver sheen to it. The formula isn't too thick like some yellows. This polish is sheer so I advise putting a white base before painting your nails, or you will end up with patches and uneven parts in the polish. This is 4 coats sadly and even then I am still a tad bit patchy. Sigh...

NOTE yellow polish has a very likely to bubble. I suggest waiting 5 minutes before applying another coat.
Finger Paints can be found at Sally's or www.FingerPaints.com for around $5-$6. I love how their polishes are usually named after art, just found that to be a cute little quirk.

On Wednesday's We Wear Pink

Jumping on the train of Pink Wednesday!!! This will make me blog more often at least on Wednesdays :P I even signed the page :D

For this Pink Wednesday I decided to do little dots of different pinks. I used the ends of each brush to create the dots. With OPI this is really hard ha ha, so I just used a corner of the OPI Brush. I didn't go all the way up my nail. I think the exposed nail looks just fine. I couldn't imagine going all the way with this.

I used
Beauty Secrets Base Coat
OPI's Argenteeny Pinkini
Finger Paints in Rose Patina
Orly Pink Whisper
Sally Girl in Curfew
Sally Girl in Way Cool
INM Northern Lights Non-shaken

The different colors of pinks really makes my nails stand out. I love the neons and the muted pinks so this is the best of both worlds.

I am really glad that I have something to look forward to every Wednesday, maybe I will write a schedule of things to do each day. Swatch/Review Saturday, Makeover Mondays, Testing Tuesday, Pink Wednesday, Hahahah I have no idea where this is going. Maybe you can help me.

Water Marbling + Tutorial.

The recent fad with water marbling made me think, "Hey you should really do a post on water marbling!" I think I am fairly good at it although I have my flaws.
For this you will need 4 things.

First off you will need water this had to be FILTERED Room temperature. What I do is use half of a water bottle. Most of the time I reuse the water if I have enough and there isn't much stuff around the top.
Next you will need POLISH :) I prefer to have 3 or more colors.
Then you will need tape to tape your finger off.
Lastly you will need an orange stick or anything with a sharp tip.

Then you will start dropping the polish into the water. You want to make sure that you have the right type of polish. I know that cream finishes, frost finishes, and some glitters work. Brands that work for me at least. OPI, China Glaze, Orly, Finger Paints, Sally Hansen, Revlon, and Wet N' WIld.
What I used for this marble is
<3 Finger Paints in Lavender Highlight
<3 Finger Paints Art Nouv-Yellow
<3 China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le
<3 Finger Paints Rose Patina
I will do this at least until all of the colors have 3 drops in the water.

Next you will need to take the orange stick and make the designs. There are a few designs that you can do and if you would like to see these you can go on youtube and search up water marbling or Simple Little Pleasures.

Then you will need to tape your finger off and what I do is I will take a little strip and go under the top of the nail and wrap it around the sides so it makes a U shape. Then around the U shape I tape around the whole finger. Sort of like the picture. I always base my nails with Wet N' Wild French Creme White.

Next you will Place your finger in the water with the nail facing towards the water and polish. You can do this in a place that you desire, different areas, different designs.  You will want to take the orange stick and clean the water BEFORE you take your finger out. Be very careful not to get your nails out of the water. Once the water is clean you can take your nail out.

Nail of the Day Not Your Everyday, Ombre.

I really don't do my nails everyday or week, it is more like every few days but since I have been wearing this nail look for about a week or so I figured why not. Every other week I am shipped off to my sisters house so I can watch her youngest. While I am there, I don't do much with my nails because 1.) So totally not my house and I don't get to do whatever I want (if I could sit and do nails all day trust me I totally would.) 2.) I don't have my own polishes there, thankfully my sister is who got me started on nails and has her own polishes. Her's are very comparable to my own. 3.) I just need a break sometimes.

For this NOTD I was inspired by two people my sister being one of them and my best friend Ashleigh. My sister has been doing these nails lately where she will do a "french" style manicure but she will use one color all over her nails and then at the base she will do a tip in a different color. These are then separated by a thin line of glitter. Then I topped it with Beauty Secrets Fast Dry Top Coat (blue one if you are wondering)

Both polishes are from Orly but the names came off. I do however have two colors that are very similar.

-Light purple would be Jasmine Jazz by Sinful Colors or Finger Paints Lilac Lagoon.
-Darker purple would be Lavender Highlight by Finger Paints.
-A thin line of a darker purple glitter Stripe Rite polish.
Sorry about the blurry images, my camera has been acting up :(
