Mermaid Dreams (NOTD).

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Happy Monday everyone. I hope yours was good. I actually went in for Orientation today for Cosmetology school. Yay GO ME! I am going to add a picture of my makeup as well.

Today I decided to go blue. I am wearing Sinful Colors Savage and Revlon's Blue Mosaic. It added like a light blue/turquoise colored glitter to the green of Savage.

As for my makeup I am just wearing Urban Decays Sidecar with Smog in the crease. Black liquid eyeliner and mascara.

Well I start school tomorrow so I am not sure how my schedule will pan out. My 100 Follower giveaway will be posted within the next two weeks. I am not sure I will be able to do another giveaway until 300 or 500 because I am completely broke. But good things happen to people all the time so we will see how things end up.

Enjoy yourself

Soulful Pink Wednesday

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was okay, got a lot of exciting things. I will be doing a haul but I am not sure when it will be up. I promised you to post on Christmas but I wasn't at my own home. I might add a couple of pictures of the other two days below but I am not sure.

Today I am wearing Sinful Colors Soul Mate which is a very blue based bubble gum pink. It reminds me of Orly's Cotton Candy. Then I stamped a butterfly from SE18, I used Snow Me White by Sinful Colors. It is really simple but very cute and I have done a design very similar when I first purchased the stamping set.

I hope you enjoyed this.... I will be talking to you very shortly so look forward to that.

Enjoy yourself

31 Day Challenge Day 3

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Whooohoo day 3 which is Yellow day! I love yellow to death. It is my favorite color but someone has told me that yellow is one of the most angering colors in the world. I am not sure on that. HAHA!!!
On my nails I have two colors yet again. I have Sinful Colors Unicorn on my ring and index fingers. Then on my pinkie, middle finger, and thumb I have Color Club Get Your Lem-On. Over that I put INM Northern Lights shaken up which just gives it a cutesy and pulled together look.

That's all today folks LOL.

Enjoy yourself

31 Day Challenge Day 2

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Today is orange day haha. I don't really like orange on my nails but I like the color orange. Has anyone else noticed that this challenge actually goes in a rainbow? Like Day 9? Ohhhh I can't wait for day 9! Sorry there isn't a Pink Wednesday today, I won't be doing them unless the challenge tells me to. In a month from now I will be back to doing Pink Wednesday. Orange is close to pink though.

I have two oranges on my fingers today. I have OPI's Atomic Orange which is a bright neon orange and then I have Sinful Colors Cloud 9 which is similar to Zoya's Tanzy. I sponged this on, just the tips of it.

I think that is it for today.

Halloween Challenge Saturday

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
*NOTE* This for some odd reason didn't post yesterday, I pressed publish and left. I didn't mess with the schedule button or anything. Blogger must really not like me.

Today is Saturday so I decided to do Silly Pumpkins. This didn't come out the way I wanted but in the end I really like the stripes and how the little guys came out.

I used Sinful Colors Cloud 9 as my base and then of course my black acrylic paint.

Did you like this?

Halloween Challenge Wednesday

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Webbed Wednesday meets Pink Wednesday! I did a really neon pink with crackle on all of the nails besides my left ring finger which has a nice big web on it. Also notice that shine? Yeah that's Seche Vite, I am completely sold on it. Much better than IMN. I plan on buying this very soon. Most likely at Sally's.

I used Creme Pink by Sinful Colors and Black Mesh by China Glaze. Some Acrylic paint as well.

I am pretty worn out so I am going to hit the road.

Enjoy yourself

Beginning of Halloween Posts

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
I was debating if I wanted to do 13 days of Halloween or a full month, I guess it is a full month. I am not sure I will post everyday but I will be sure to post what I do when I do it.

Today I wanted to test the new crackles that I got from SamsBeauty. See my last post for details, but I won them.

I used Sinful Colors Secret Admire, a black polish with grey silver glitter.
2012 Crackle in Innocence which is a white cream crackle.

30 Untrieds Day 29

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
I found some feathers around the house today and figured I would incorporate something into nail art. Sadly it didn't come out the way I planned. My coats I think were a little too thick. I am not sure. They all can't be winners.

For the base I used Sinful Colors's Queen of Beauty which is a silver glitter. Very chunky glitter. It's going to be a five letter word to get off tomorrow morning.
Very affordable at $1.99 at Walgreens and other drugstores.

Then I just went in with some feathers. I actually don't mind how they came out I just wish the nail polishes weren't so thick.

It gooped up and when I was doing laundry, Oh how I love my laundry days! I got my fingers all messed up.

Enjoy yourself

30 Untrieds Day 20

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
This is Sinful Colors Savage. Savage is an almost teal green color. This is a cream color but it dries similar to China Glaze's Turned Up Turquoise only I wouldn't say it is matte but not a satin either. I think it is in between a satin and a gloss, LOL I feel like a painter, it is a Semi Gloss. I like the finish personally it adds some depth to my nails.

On my ring finger I decided to have something because otherwise this would be very boring like some of the other posts I have done lately. I thought two Chevrons would be a great little addition. I just used classic white and black for the Chevrons. I didn't use regular nail polish just regular acrylic paint.

I am super tired lately ever since I went to my boyfriends sisters house. We stayed up far too late, Now I am up  until 6 or 7 am everyday. I go to sleep and wake up around 3 pm or later in today's case. I told you all that my sleeping patterns change drastically. I hate when I stay up all night but I can't do anything about it. I even take Melatonin but it doesn't do anything. I think once I get a job I will get on track.

I should really start searching for a job soon. I will be 21 in 5 months. I can't believe how old I am already.

Enjoy yourself

30 Untrieds Day 18

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Phew I am almost done with this... Yay. I think I am going to post a review on Sigma Brushes and The Naked Palette even though everyone and their mothers has heard of both of them. I may do a little look book with the Urban Decay Naked Palette, 4 or 5 looks at most.

Today I am wearing two polishes from Sinful Colors, I think Sinful Colors is starting to become my favorite nail polish brand. It is so cheap and is a really great brand. The quality of the polishes are so nice, I compare them a lot to China Glaze. I like that I can buy three to four polishes to the price of one China Glaze or OPI. They have sales a lot too so sometimes I like to pick up more when they are on sale.

Today I have Out Of This World, which is a silver with multi colored Glitter. It is a very sheer and needs about 4 coats to be opaque. Or you can layer it over another silver or white color. I like the color and I am not sure why I covered it with the other color.
Then I have Green Ocean over the OOTW which is a greenish clear polish with green, teal and  rusty orange flakies. Ohhh pretties. I don't like how it gave my nails a green tint to them. Made me think of algae. I am going to do an under the sea look with this polish some day.

I can imagine that removal is going to be a pain.
Enjoy Yourself

30 Untrieds Day 13

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Today I am wearing Sinful Colors Nirvana, which is a very purple/grey toned chocolate brown. It is a cream finish like most of my polishes are. It is a two coater but if you did thick coats I could see it being a one coat type of polish. The formula is a little runny. Very high shine without a top coat. I used L'Oreal Quick Dry oil that I bought at Big Lots yesterday for $1 and it gave it more of a shine. The oil actually acts as a cuticle oil as well.
Sinful Colors can be found at various drugstores for around $1.99 but are usually on sale at Walgreens for $.99, just look out for the sales.
I have to say that I never thought in my life that I would be wearing a brown but I must say I don't mind it in fact I really love it. When I was growing up I thought that brown was a dirty sick looking color and something just turned me off about it. I wouldn't wear brown clothes or shoes. The only thing that I liked to be brown was my hair, I will tell you that I have dyed my hair various different colors, Pink, green, blue, red, black, brown, blonde, purple, etc... It has gotten to the point that I don't really remember my natural hair color, blonde I believe but what shade... As of right now I am a deep red almost burgundy but it is fading sadly.

Look at the makeup that I did, it matches it semi well.

Enjoy yourself

30 Untrieds Day 10

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
Better later than never, I had other posts that I wanted to do today to get them out of the way. I did a most worn summer nail polish and a top 10 nail polish picks for fall 2011.  I also did some makeup art today so that is another reason why I am a little late.

I really thought that this polish that I am wearing today was going to be a dupe for Orly's Cotton Candy or Pixie Stix which I won't be able to tell you until I get to swatch the other two and I don't have those. I will soon though I have put my mind to it. Along with the other colors from that collection because my Sally's still carries it.

Sinful Colors Soul Mate is a muted but bright medium pink. The polish has more of a red tint to it rather than a pure pink. It is a cream finish . This goes on opaque in one coat but to be sure I did two, also notice that shine? That is just the polish itself no top coats here.  What I don't like about this polish is that it makes my hands and cuticles look very dirty, like I got dirt up in my cuticles or something.

Sinful Colors can be found at many drugstores for around $1.99 for a .5 fl. oz. bottle. I know that Walgreens has plenty of sales on these they usually go down to $.99 and right now Fred Meyer is having a sale that is buy one get one 50% off, making the polishes $1.50

I love the application of this polish much better than my sisters Orly Cotton Candy.

Side note does anyone else have the Island Nectar candle from Bath and Body Works? OMG it smells so amazing, I can smell it in the kitchen from my bedroom (no my computer isn't in the kitchen it is in my bedroom, it is just a note.) I love this candle to death!!!

30 Untrieds Day 3

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
I absolutely hated yesterdays untried. It was watery and too much of a jelly for my taste. I started chipping it off because I hated it so much (this is not normal and NOT advised). I am kind of sad I bought it but hey it was only $.99 at Walgreens and I still think they are doing the deal.
Today I have a color that a lot of people have known about for some time. I am surprised I didn't get this color sooner. I think I am going to do a comparison of mint colors here soon but I only really have 3 or 4. I may need to get more before I actually do it.
This is more of a true mint color like something you would find in an Ande's Mint or mint icecream. While I love cream polishes this one has a slight shimmer to it, like silver and maybe the lightest hint of teal. I am loving this polish, like to death.
Sinful Colors Mint Apple is a really universal color, I can see myself wearing this throughout the seasons. This polish was opaque in two coats, which is nice since usually I only do two coats. Of course unless it needs more. This polish goes for $1.99 at Walgreens, Target, Rite Aid and many more, if the website was up I would totally say go look if any stores near you sell Sinful Colors.

I added three little heart rhinestones to my ring finger because the last two days have just been flat out color. Now don't get me wrong I love plain polish but I need so spark every once in awhile.

Enjoy yourself

Haul and New Hair

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
I really should save all the new polishes I buy or get sent for one big haul like every two weeks out of the month or so. I really don't like posting a million hauls but I don't ever think that I will buy more and then 12 or so more polishes pop into my hands, I have a problem.
Today I made a trip to Ross to see what kind of Color Club sets they have because I have heard they carry the sets there for fairly cheap. I ended picking up 4 mini Color Club polishes sadly they don't have names and I can't find the packaging, I think my boyfriend accidently threw away the package SIGH. Anyway their is a dark purply grey color that has purple, blue, and silver sparkles, Then there is a plain silver color, a very nude pink color,  then a dusty light lilac color. I was searching for more when I ran across one single Essie called Forever Young which is a bright red, I have so many reds it isn't even funny but I can use the others for frankens now.
Then I went to Walgreens because I knew they were having a sale on their Wet N' Wild nail polishes (or anything else that is originally $1.99). While I was there I picked up Party of Five Glitters, Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire, and FuchsiaRama. Then I was browsing their Sinful Colors display to see if they had any of the Adventure Island  Collection, sadly no they didn't but I may check the other Walgreens by my house. I would be really mad if I can't get these colors.  I did pick up Nirvana, Savage, and Soul Mate.
Sometime last week I picked up John Frieda's Foam Hair Dye in a deep red color and I took it to my sisters house and she dyed my hair for me. Let me say that foam hair dye is really weird and it claims not to be patchy but it is. I have to dye my hair again.

I think September is going to be a month of 30 Untried Nail Polishes, maybe even more. Look for that on Thursday

Beauty Secrets Base Coat
China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le
Sinful Colors Hottie on my ring.
Beauty Secrets Top Coat

What I did
2 Coats of CG SP
2 Coats of SC Hottie on my ring finger

Nail Of the Day Sparked

So this week is my week at my sister's house ( I watch her youngest) so I won't be on here as much but I can tell you that I have written things in advance and they will post themselves, I will be checking too. Wednesday I will be doing a Pink Wednesday post but I won't have access to my own polish so it will be "borrowed" aka my sisters. I will try to post NOTD's this week as well but like I said I can't guarantee anything. I am also looking for a job, I need money for this nail addiction.
What I did
For today I have my own polish on (lol). I put regular tips on all of my fingers except my ring finger. Then on the fingers with the tips I applied a thin black line. On my ring finger I put a "graident" of purple and blue sparkles on top of the purple.

What I used.
-One coat of Beauty Secrets Base Coat
-2 Coats of Finger Paints Lavender Highlight (review to come)
-LA Colors Art Deco in Black.
-Sinful Colors in Frenzy
-2 Coats of INM Northern Lights (Not Shaken up)

Well that is it for today. Thanks for reading.

Enjoy yourself
XOXO

Nail of the Day Not Your Everyday, Ombre.

I really don't do my nails everyday or week, it is more like every few days but since I have been wearing this nail look for about a week or so I figured why not. Every other week I am shipped off to my sisters house so I can watch her youngest. While I am there, I don't do much with my nails because 1.) So totally not my house and I don't get to do whatever I want (if I could sit and do nails all day trust me I totally would.) 2.) I don't have my own polishes there, thankfully my sister is who got me started on nails and has her own polishes. Her's are very comparable to my own. 3.) I just need a break sometimes.

For this NOTD I was inspired by two people my sister being one of them and my best friend Ashleigh. My sister has been doing these nails lately where she will do a "french" style manicure but she will use one color all over her nails and then at the base she will do a tip in a different color. These are then separated by a thin line of glitter. Then I topped it with Beauty Secrets Fast Dry Top Coat (blue one if you are wondering)

Both polishes are from Orly but the names came off. I do however have two colors that are very similar.

-Light purple would be Jasmine Jazz by Sinful Colors or Finger Paints Lilac Lagoon.
-Darker purple would be Lavender Highlight by Finger Paints.
-A thin line of a darker purple glitter Stripe Rite polish.
Sorry about the blurry images, my camera has been acting up :(

Enjoy yourself
XOXO
