Today's Haul :)

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

Went to a few different stores today. I got a few things along the way. Lets get to it.

I went to Ulta because I had a $3.50 off coupon. I bought my required amount there which was $10. I ended up with 2 nail polishes. Each of which I have been wanting for a while.

OPI Mermaid's Tears and OPI Planks A Lot!!! Both were $6.89! Yay cheaper than one regular OPI

Then I went to Sally's to get in on the Buy Seche Vite and get a China Glaze free. I get a certain percent off because I am a student in Cosmetology School.

China Glaze Pool Party.$6 something.

Then I went to CosmoProf. I had never been in there before so it was  nice for me. I actually am not going to be going into Sally's or Ulta for a long time. CosmoProf and SalonCentric are the stores I will be going to for a long time.

OPI Ginger Bells $1.06, Banana Bandanna $2.13,  and Peace on Earth for $3.25. Those were all on clearance. Then China Glaze was buy 2 get 1 free. Spontaneous $3.50, In The Lime Light $3.50, and Shower Together Freeeeee.

Nail Mail and Review.

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

I know I haven't posted a lot lately. I missed Tuesday and Wednesday posts but that is alright. I have been very busy with school in all but I promise you on my weekends (Sunday and Monday) that I will post. I may even schedule posts to post through out the week.

A week or so ago Amy from I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous posted a picture on Facebook asking what everyone thought would be a good name for her new nail polish should be. Of course everyone said their input. I just came in at the right time and put my idea of Rustic Remains. 

Well Amy contacted me a few days later and she told me that she chose my name for the nail polish.She then goes on to tell me that she is sending me a bottle of the polish. So here we are. Rustic Remains.

Rustic Remains is clear polish with coppery bronze flakies. There is also a red and green shimmer to the polish. It also has a white shimmer that is less noticeable. Now please note that I am just sitting here looking at the polish. Amy can tell you more about the polish than I can because she is the one who made it. 

I can tell you that this polish looks great over black and definitely over white. I tried it over a silver and orange and it didn't really look that great.on. I think it would look great over reds, bronzes, and golds. I want to try it over blues and greens, maybe even a purple. I used two coats on each nail.

I actually wore this polish to school today. I had all of my nails white except for my ring finger which was black.I used two coats one each nail. I can tell you that on white it looks more red and on black it has more a green tint to it. Very interesting color if you ask me!

Mermaid Dreams (NOTD).

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

Happy Monday everyone. I hope yours was good. I actually went in for Orientation today for Cosmetology school. Yay GO ME! I am going to add a picture of my makeup as well.

Today I decided to go blue. I am wearing Sinful Colors Savage and Revlon's Blue Mosaic. It added like a light blue/turquoise colored glitter to the green of Savage.

As for my makeup I am just wearing Urban Decays Sidecar with Smog in the crease. Black liquid eyeliner and mascara. 

Well I start school tomorrow so I am not sure how my schedule will pan out. My 100 Follower giveaway will be posted within the next two weeks. I am not sure I will be able to do another giveaway until 300 or 500 because I am completely broke. But good things happen to people all the time so we will see how things end up.

Pink Wednesday.

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

Guess who is already thinking about Valentines Day? This girl right here :) I have never been one for Valentines Day but for some reason I am just in that type of mood lately. Hey what can I say people change.

Today I am just wearing a gradient nail consisting of China Glaze's Go Go Pink, Color Club's Yum Gum, Orly's Basket Case, and OPI's Teenage Dream. Then I stamped with plate SE21  with the two heart designs.I really need to invest on getting Teenage Dream in a bigger bottle because it is such a pretty color.

Anyway that is about it. I'm kind of nervous today because I only have 5 more days until school starts.

Nail Polish Obsession Tag!

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

I saw that Eleventh Gorgeous did the nail polish obsession tag so I decided to do it as well! Lets get to it :)

Questions
1. What's your favorite nail polish company?

I really like OPI but I am very open minded so China Glaze, Orly, Finger Paints, Color Club are just as great as OPI for me at least.
2. Glitter or no glitter?

I actually don't own many glitters, I think that if I am going to do a glitter it will be either very subtle or I am going to go all out and do a complete glitterbomb.
3. OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?

As I said above I am more inclined to do OPI. I just buy OPI a lot more when it is on sale!
4. When do you change your nail polish?

It depends on my mood. I change it every three days to one day.
5. What's your favorite color on your nails?

I actually really like neon pinks on my nails. The polish makes my hands look like they have a tan.
6. Darks or Brights?

I love brights.
7. What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?

A sponge rainbow similar to the one I just posted in fact I will post a pic below.

8. Matte Nails--In or Out?

I actually really like the look of matte mani's. I wish I had a matte top coat but just haven't gotten around to buying one.
9. French Manicure?

I try to do them but sometimes they don't come out.  I might have to do acrylic french manicures when I am in school but until then I'm sticking with my natural nails. I might just do an overlay in school.

10. Favorite Winter Color?

I try to stick with trends but sometimes you have to branch out. In the winter I really like dusty purple colors like Ulta's Lav-ish.

100 Follower Giveaway Coming Soon and An Update

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

I'm excited to tell you that I will be starting my 100 Follower Giveaway with in the next two to three weeks. I really should have thought things through because here soon I'll be at 200 and ready for another giveaway :)

I am sure that I won't be doing the giveaway until I get a little bit more polishes which requires money and I don't have much as of right now. I promise it will be coming!

As for my update. I am not sure how much longer I will have the internet here at my house. Like I said above I really am strapped for cash as of right now. I'm sure we will have it until after my birthday (Feb 17th) but after that I will be kind SOL. <-LOL. Then in April I am sure I will have enough money to bring it back. Which might be the time I end my 100 follower giveaway. i don't know how people who do giveaways at every 100 milestone aren't broke. I know I am going to be.

As for me I am going to Cosmetology school in just 7 days. While I am very happy to be going I am kind of scared about how things are going to pan out. School will cost me around $18,000, going from $0 of debt to $18,000 is really hard for me. I will post things about school when the times come. Expect to see them within the next week or so.

I know I scheduled the 50 follower giveaway to end two days after my birthday and I did that because I am sure that I'm getting money for my birthday.

As for me I will be turning 21 on Feb 17th. If you're in the Idaho area come check out Milan Institute in 3 or so months and I will be on the floor. Just ask for me :)

Pastel Rainbow. Tutorial

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,

Sorry I have been a little busy around here lately. 

Today I decided to actually do something different. I am wearing a mani that my friend did on her youtube. 

Step one cut a sponge it has to be really hole-y, kind of like a painters sponge. You can find them at WalMart in the craft section or in Michael's in the painting section.

Then paint lines of color on the sponge. You can choose what colors you do.

Next you want to lightly press the sponge on to a paper, just to get the excess off.

Then place the sponge on your nail and press lightly. You can probably get away doing this to two nails and then you'll have to go back to step 2. 

Repeat step 2 through 4 on each nail, just too make sure that it is on there well. 

I kind of blended the lines a little bit by painting a layer of China Glaze's Fairy Dust.

I find that if you start out with a white base for lighter colors and a similar color if you are going to do darker colors. I used Yum Gum by Color Club, Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen, You Belong To Me by Essence, and Lav-ish by Ulta.

I draw, through out high school I was in multiple art classes and actually became really good friends with the art teacher. But I notice that when I am upset I create the most beautiful works of art.

I agree with Charlotte, I am huge sucker for cats.

Black, because it is more slimming lol!

7. Biggest fear.

Failing, My family is really set on not failing and going through with things

Optimistic, I usually start out with this and if it changes it is okay, Tomorrow is a new day :)

Love, if I am loved by those who matter than those who don't just seem so far away.

10. Guilty pleasure?

Candy however I am trying to diet this year. So far not so good :(

1.I rarely watch tv I only have few shows that I watch and most of the time I watch them on my laptop. By the way those shows are Teen Mom 1&2, 16 and Pregnant, Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Games,and Secret Life of an American Teenager

3.I don't care what people think of me. Once you let go of your insecurities and stuff like that people usually except you for who you are. 

4.When no one is around and it is just me and my boyfriend and my family I will talk in a baby voice. I think it runs in the family because I am not the only one who does it. ;) 

5.I am very organized when it comes to the small things but when it comes to the big things I get confused.
