I got the Melmer for Christmas, it was $21 on sale from Michael's Craft Store. You have to put this together, it doesn't come pre assembled. It took me an hour to get it together. ( we weren't using proper screw drivers)

Pam's Makeup Storage/Collection.

Hello Lacquered Lovelies and Makeup Freaks,
As most of you know I am not only passionate about nails but also makeup. Without makeup I am sure that I wouldn't have gotten into nails. I have done very few makeup posts on my blog because I am not sure if that is something you all like. Maybe I will make another blog dedicated to makeup only.... Maybe? Or if you guys are into that I will keep posting them here.

Today I am going to show you how I store my makeup and kind of tell a little bit around the brands and items that I have and why I organize my makeup the way I do.

First off my makeup all fits into a 5 drawer organizer that is from Sterlite, I believe this was around $5. I know I went back to the store and check the price not too long ago and it was $10. I have split mine into a group of three and two. Three drawers are on top of my nightstand and two are in the little cubby. Under the group of three I added a black board to make the top of the nightstand bigger because without it the surface of the nightstand is about a third of the size.

What is on the left side of the top
What is on the right side.
The first three drawers hold things that I grab for more than anything. This includes foundations, powders, eyeshadows, mascara, and eyeliners. On top of the storage drawers I have a container that I keep my brushes in, my mirror, and a few hair items.  Along the left side of my drawers I keep my Naked palette, lotion, brush cleanser (homemade I can make a post about it if you all would like), perfumes (not from Bath and Body Works), and a festive candle. On the right side I have all of my Bath and Body Works body splashes, another candle, and a lip tin. If you want a perfume collection please just tell me.

In the first drawer I have moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, and powders.
-Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion
-Rimmel Fix and Prefect Primer
-L'Oreal True Match Foundations in W1 and W3
-Almay Foundation
-Benefits Erase Paste in #2
-Maybelline powders

In the second drawer I have eyeshadow bases and eyeshadows. I am not going to go into depth about these but I will say brands.
-Wet N' Wild Trios and Palettes
-ELF Quads, Pigments, and Palettes
-Maybelline Quads
-Essence Duo
-Benefits RSVP Creaseless Cream Shadow and Liner.
-Revlon

In the third drawer I have eyeliners, mascaras, eye primers, glitters, eyelashes, and glue. Again I am not going to go into depth with what colors or details.
-Revlon
-L'Oreal
-Maybelline
-Wet N' Wild
-Sally Girl
-NYX
-DUO

Then in the second part is things I don't grab for often but I want to keep them to use later on or when I am feeling on wearing these items. On the left side of that I keep my hair sprays, smaller Bath and Body Works Lotions and Sprays, and bulkier makeup like Revlon Mineral Powder and L'Oreal Blushes and Powders. If you want a Bath and Body Works Collection Post please just tell me.

In the first drawer I have lip products this includes a chapstick, lipstick and lipglosses. I am not going to into depth about these but I will say the brands.
-Liplicious
-Revlon
-Maybelline
-Wet N' Wild
-NYC
-Sally Hansen

In the second drawer I have random things. Things that don't fit somewhere else in the collection or bigger things that I don't use as much.
-ELF Blush and Bronzing Duo
-ELF Blotting Paper
-Wet N' Wild Blush
-Wet N' Wild Mega Glow
-LA Colors eyeshadow
-Revlon Eyeshadow
-Extra foundation

As for my brushes I have Sigma brushes, I actually got mine for free through Luuux. I have some ELF eyeshadow brushes and the brush from the Naked Palette.I actually don't use all of the brushes.

Well that is it for now I might get more makeup in the future but as of right now I think I have what I need. There are things I would like but I am content. I want more high end stuff because I only have a few things.

Thanks for reading.

Enjoy yourself

Nail Mail

Hello Lacquered Lovelies,
I love Nail Mail I truly do. I was woken up to my boyfriends dog barking and surly enough there was something waiting for me on my porch. I had entered a contest a while back from Musings from Manhattan.
She was giving away the OPI Touring America Set, it was bunched in two sets of 6. I was lucky enough to win prize pack two.

-Honk If You Love OPI
-I Eat Mainly Lobster
-My Address Is Hollywood
-A-Taupe The Space Needle
-Uh-oh Roll Down The Window
-French Quarter For Your Thoughts.

I am so grateful for these new nail polishes. Making my OPI collection grow. These are great for the Fall and Winter.
Again thank you Danielle for having such a wonderful giveaway.

The original post was here, The giveaway winners where here, and finally Musings From Manhattans website. I absolutely love all the posts she has. She is great at reviewing because she is short and to the point <3.

Quote of the Day: "Hard work does pay off."

OPI San Tan-tonio

OPI's San Tan-tonio was released with the Texas Collection which was released for Spring/Summer of 2011. I actually got this polish clearanced out for $3.18 which was a total steal. I suggest you always check your clearance baskets. OPI in America is usually $8.50 and can be found at Ulta, Trade Secret, and some Salon Supply Stores. You can sometimes find it in certain drugstores.

San Tan-tonio is a pale tan color that is almost a nude on my fingers. It is a cream finish which is my all time favorite. This polish is opaque in two to three coats. It is kind of reminds me of the "sorbets" that OPI also released in the Texas Collection. When the polish is dry it is super shiny almost as if you don't need a top coat.

I am sure this polish will be great for the warmer parts of fall or for the more "sophisticated" days in fall and winter. I could also see this all year round.

Enjoy yourself
XOXO

Nail Polish Storage :)

Since this is a blog about anything nail I figured a lot of people are going to be eager to see what I am working with.Note I am not trying to brag in anyway, I know I love looking at collections so that is why I am posting it.
All of my nail polish fits into two Sterlite plastic shoe boxes, but as you can see from the second bin I need more. I was just in this place, I had to go out and buy the second box that was around 3 or 4 months ago.
In the first bin you can see that I have organized it by brand and by color. So I have my "higher end" polishes in this bin which includes OPI, China Glaze, Orly, Finger Paints, etc. Oh how I wish I had Butter London or Deborah Lippmann <3.
In the second I have a lot of drugstore brands like Wet N' Wild, Revlon, Sally Hansen, Sinful Colors, Pure Ice, etc. I have tried to organize this one but since it has a lot of polishes and is a tad bit over flowing I just gave up. This one also smells heavily of polish.
I love to store my polishes right side up because this makes it so the polishes can't leak or "glue" themselves shut.
The purple dotted basket was the first thing I used to hold all of my polishes. As you can see I only had a few. This was back in November of 2010. I am looking back and just awed about how much I have grown. Then I had the plastic shoe box that is below you can see that I did get a few more.

Next I have the two baskets that I had used before the two shoe boxes came along. In the first basket I have all of my top coats, nail art stripers, acrylic paints, thinner, rhinestones and brushes.
Then lastly I have the basket that holds all of my color wheels which I will include in a different post. You can find those at Sally's Beauty Supply for around $5. It has my acetone and non-acetone nail polish removers. I also put all of my acrylic stuff in there. I do acrylic nails on other people not me, I personally don't like acrylic nails, they look cheap to me.

Wow this is a long post. I am sorry it is such a long one. I would sit down and write all the names out but that would be over 100 polishes to go through. One day I will sit down and make it a point to do just that. If you have a question about a color or if you would like to know the name please just ask me and I will be sure to answer.

Enjoy yourself
